ARTIST STATEMENT
Amid the rapid pace of contemporary life, she turns to her practice in search of inner stillness and a quiet, unhurried understanding of self. Her work draws root from nostalgia for the solitary, unguarded moments of childhood—those soft, dreamlike memories that first shaped her bond to the world around her. It is her intent to stir a quiet resonance in those who encounter the work, inviting them to pause and revisit their own early years, and to reconnect with the purity and unhurried freedom of that time.
Having begun her creative journey with digital illustration, she has since expanded into work on silk, a traditional medium rooted in Chinese painting. The gentle, translucent haze inherent to silk captures perfectly the blurred, ethereal quality of distant childhood memories, lending a soft, introspective atmosphere to each piece. Every scene within her work is drawn from the quiet, isolated spaces of her own recollection, and she prioritizes spacious, open compositions above all.
Through restrained, minimalist color palettes and intentional negative space, she cultivates a calm, meditative mood—one that invites the viewer to settle into the same peaceful state of mind that first guided each creation.
